Why councils close and we don't
Council depots, drivers and back-office all close for public holidays. We are a private business — drivers can choose to work bank holiday days at our standard rate (no surcharge) and most do for the half-day-pay-for-a-full-day economics. Same-day cover is genuinely available across most Scottish bank holidays.
What about Christmas and New Year?
We close 25 Dec, 26 Dec and 1 Jan. Otherwise we run a reduced schedule between Christmas and New Year — bookings via WhatsApp, smaller team, slightly longer response times. Same prices, no surcharge.
